Rapid & Successful Development

A significant reason this project was able to gain traction is due to the access to existing electrical componentry taken from advanced dairy-farming milking innovations.

The access to these materials made the project timely and attainable, and it also prevented having to outsource suppliers during a lockdown period.

We saw a problem that needed fixing

New Zealand currently has 153 staffed intensive care ventilator beds in public hospitals, which can be expanded to just over 560 units by co-opting space from other sources. Our current stock of ventilators is insufficient to deal with a worldwide pandemic.
